Printing a Piece of History for Norwich City FC
A big birthday deserves a big birthday card, and at Your Print Partner we were only too happy to oblige when Norwich City FC were looking to celebrate 80 years at their home ground Carrow Road.
On Tuesday evening, the Canaries hosted Premier League rivals West Ham United in a pre-season friendly with a difference.
The fixture was a repeat of the first match ever held at Carrow Road in 1935. Norwich City triumphed 4-3 in the original fixture 80 years ago, and faced the Hammers once again with Alex Neil’s squad making their first home appearance of the summer as they intensified their preparations for the 2015-16 campaign.
Your Print Partner was on hand to help the club with their celebrations by providing them with a giant 15 metre by 15 metre pitch banner, which was brought into the stadium before the game by Norwich City ball boys and girls, and displayed on the pitch during the player’s warmups.
The banner displayed the club’s 80th Anniversary logo, and featured the slogan “There’s No Place Like Home”.
This print project was a remarkable achievement for YPP, with the banner ordered, printed on site in Lincoln, finished by the sewing team and dispatched within 12 working hours.
At 225m2 in size, the banner is one of the largest we have ever produced and was made possible thanks to the company’s recent investment in new state-of-the-art superwide digital print technology.
“We were extremely proud and excited to be able to help Norwich City FC in their anniversary celebrations.” said Your Print Partner Sports & Events Executive Matt Wilson.
“It is fantastic that a Premier League Football Club like Norwich City have recognised the quality of our products and service, and used them for such a prestigious occasion for their club. I would like to personally wish Norwich City F.C all the best for their upcoming Barclays Premier League campaign.”
