Your Print Partner was visited by photographer Jane Harrison this week.
After taking a number of shots for our website of the various different departments at Millennium House, we decided to get the whole team together – and the result was captured below.
The YPP team is currently made up of 24 members of staff, however just four years ago it was a very different story!
YPP was founded in October 2011 by Stuart Maclaren. He originally started out as a print broker, where the goal was to utilise his experience from previously working in sales at a print firm to source better quality printed products at a cheaper unit price for his clients.
Working in partnership with several UK manufacturers, business soon took off and five months later Stuart hired his first member of staff – our General Manager Yvonne – to handle the mounting administrative tasks.
By July 2012, sales had taken off at such a rate that YPP’s partner manufacturer were beginning to struggle to meet deadlines. Rather than see his client’s left disappointed, or have to outsource to overseas manufacturers, Stuart took the landmark decision to invest in his own large format digital printer and manufacturing soon moved in-house.
From that day the nature of the business changed forever. Our production department now contains nine state-of-the-art large-format printers, and Stuart and Yvonne have been joined by a team of Designers, Account Managers, Salespeople, Print Technicians, Seamstresses and Warehouse Operatives.
