New staff at YPP HQ

In the recent months here at YPP we have welcomed 5 new members to the team; from expanding our web team to social media and graphic design.

We may be a small team here at YPP HQ but we are a close bunch. With 5 newbies in the office joining our talented team, it means we can continuously develop and improve our client experience and continue to grow our company to new heights; strengthening our customer interface and how you interact with us online to utilising our team of graphic designers to bring your ideas to life.

This week we had a chat with them all to see how they’re getting on at YPP and get to know them a bit better.

Where has your career taken you before joining YPP?

After graduating from The University of Lincoln in Creative Advertising in 2019, I went on to do a placement for a well established private school in Henley-on-Thames, Oxfordshire working in their marketing department creating content for their website, managing their social channels and photograph events and special occasions to talk about. Then the pandemic came and it was a bit of a tricky time for me personally but then I came across the opportunity to join YPP and I’m enjoying every day of it! #YPPFamily

I’ve been a big supporter of Reading FC and have played cricket all my life (Met Graeme Swan once; top guy!), love a good game night and get way too competitive when it comes to Monopoly.

If you could be 1 product we sell, what would you be and why?

I’d be a ‘Chalk A-Board’ because the creative possibilities are endless with a blank canvas.

Where has your career taken you before joining YPP?

After finishing my philosophy degree at Warick, I went travelling for a year visiting some amazing places along the way such as Turkey, South Africa and even walked across Spain which took just over a month. When I came back I worked in IT support for a year and a half but wanted to find something more for me, that’s when I came across a job here and couldn’t turn down the opportunity.

James Suffolk

Graphic Designer

Where has your career taken you before joining YPP?

Prior to joining YPP, I worked as a Lead Graphic Designer for a digital marketing agency, which then lead into working freelance for an entire year and that opened my mind to learning more about running a small business and business growth, marketing, liaising with clients on a 121 basis, how to design & build websites from concept to launch which enabled me to learn more about UI and UX in order to create results driven, conversion focused website designs.

Love a good DJ Mix, anything with House, Bassline, DnB… I’m there for it and I enjoy bopping my head with my earphones whilst working. Mixology being a passion and a hobby due to previous experience working in a cocktail bar. I also love wearing outfits with fruity designs.

If you could be 1 product we sell, what would you be and why?

I’d be an Ultimate Tension Banner because I came into this world all tinie tiny and remained around 5ft 6inches until I was around 17/18, then I naturally stretched out to 6ft 1inch which is where I remain today.
