Aluminium Feather Flags
Also known as blade or sail flag, the feather flag is the most popular shaped custom flag. Its eye-catching design provides the best balance between the size of print area and the tenseness of the material, providing good visibility of your print from all angles. Even though it is still lightweight, the frame is of the highest quality and is a super sturdy; it can withstand strong winds and most weather conditions. Our flags are printed with UV stable water based inks onto 117gsm knitted polyester or weatherproof 117gsm aero mesh flag material and finished with a hemmed edge and black elasticated sleeve. Which material promotional flag is best for me?
Knitted Polyester
This is the most popular choice. It is a high quality 117gsm polyester flag material which provides a slightly glossy finish for your design.
AeroMesh Polyester
Our AeroMesh has been perforated with tiny holes to ensure the flag can withstand stronger wind speeds, making this material more durable and better suited for longer-term use.
Do I need a single or double-sided flag?
Single Sided
Single-sided flags are the most popular choice. Your design will be printed onto one side of our translucent flag material, making your design visible from both sides however the rear will appear mirrored, and the colours on the rear will also not be as vibrant. Single sided flags are more lightweight making them more weatherproof, and area available in both standard and aero materials.
Double Sided
With double-sided flags, your design will be printed onto two separate polyester flags. These will then be sewn together, along with a third piece in between the layers. This ensures that the material is not translucent, making your design vibrant and fully visible on both sides. Due to the additional weight of these flags, they are less durable and would require sturdier bases. We are not able to offer double sided flags with aero mesh material as the additional weatherproof would negate the benefit of using the material.
Do I need a flagpole & case?
By standard we include your flagpoles as well as a handy carry case. Our carry cases will hold the pole kits, flag as well as one of the ground spike, cross base or car stand flag bases. We do offer just the flag on its own just in case you want to order an update graphic for your latest promotion.
If you require just the flagpole on its own, please contact us.

What is the lifespan of a promotional flag?
How can I take care of my promotional flag?
- We advise that if flags are intended for use outdoors then they are taken down/brought indoors during periods of high wind speeds (i.e. exceeding 30mph). If flags are left up in strong winds, this could result in tears and rips in the fabric. Likewise, we recommend taking flags down during snow or heavy rain.
- Be cautious and careful when choosing a location to place your flag. For instance, you should avoid placing them where they may flap against solid surfaces such as walls or fences, on which they may get caught on and cause tearing or wear.
- Regularly wash your flag to remove any dirt and debris collected which could cause discolouration of the fabric. Our flags can be dry-cleaned or machine-washed at 30 degrees. Ensure that your flags are completely dry before folding or putting away – we feel it is best to fit your flag back to its pole to remove any creases.
