YPP Secures £1million Investment to Fuel Growth

The YPP Group, owner of Your Print Partner Ltd, has announced that it has secured a £1million investment from the Midlands Engine Investment Fund (MEIF) in order to continue meteoric growth.

As part of its future growth strategy, YPP is aiming to change the face of the personalised gifts market and will be using the investment to facilitate the launch of its latest subsidiary, Custom Gifts.

Custom Gifts

Custom Gifts is a new brand dedicated to personalised gifting, and is set to launch its new e-commerce website – – in March. The new site has been designed to provide online shoppers with the widest range of premium personalised gifts available, including hundreds of exciting licensed products from Warner Brothers, Disney, major UK football clubs and other familiar brands.

Whilst this new investment is predominantly to fuel the new brand, it will also bring huge benefits to Your Print Partner.

Your Print Partner is already recognised as the UKs largest producer of ‹“soft signage, and is today dispatching more orders than ever before from our Lincoln HQ. This however does not mean that the company will be relaxing its targets for future growth, and we are delighted to be able to announce that we are launching a number of new products this year – soon to be unveiled following the publication of our 2019-2020 Print Collection.

Vision for the Future

We had an ambitious and exciting plan for growth, and one that required substantial funding said YPP CEO Stuart Maclaren. Over the course of six months we went through a wide range of investment raising options, from crowdfunding through to overseas venture capitalists, so today I am truly delighted to have been able to secure this investment for the group.

Our aim is to continue to allow Your Print Partner to flourish, whilst using our print and production expertise to take on the growing UK personalised gifts market with Custom Gifts.”

Cutting Edge Technology Arrives at YPP

Investing in the latest state-of-the-art print and finishing machinery has been key to YPP since the company was founded, and that dedication to investment continues as we can today announce the arrival of our new Kongsberg C series cutting table.

The Kongsberg C series is the first multifunction super-wide digital finisher for signage, display and packaging applications.

The versatility the Kongsberg C series brings enables our production team to finish a massive range of rigid materials including ACM, Foam PVC, Acrylic, Correx plus all our flexible, roll media too. The ability to add on more tooling options in the future further ensures that the machine will remain an integral part of our future expansion plans.

Boost to British Manufacturing as YPP Becomes UK’s Biggest Mimaki House

Your Print Partner is on a mission to bring wide-format print and display manufacture back to the UK, having today announced the arrival of four new digital print machines at our HQ in Lincoln.

The new direct-to-textile machines are the latest big investment in production technology for the company, having spent £1.5 million already this year on its new manufacturing hub, and make YPP the UK’s biggest Mimaki house.

Back in January, the company purchased a new Mimaki UJV55 320 LED-UV pvc printer, new Mimaki 320 DS wide fabric machines and a Mimaki JFX200 flat bed printer, which have now been joined by the four additional Mimaki 320 DS

The new machines are in action already, providing print for our range of outdoor marketing products, such as flags, banners and pop-up displays, as well as our popular fabric exhibition stands.

“Our core business is expanding rapidly and we wanted to ensure we could meet this exciting challenge quickly” said YPP Managing Director Stuart Maclaren.

Brett Platt, textile product manager for Mimaki’s exclusive UK distributor Hybrid Services, confirmed that YPP now has the largest number of Mimaki printers in the display and signage sector in the UK.

“We are delighted with the recent additional investment in Mimaki grand format printers made by Your Print Partner and the company’s commitment to expanding manufacturing in the UK,” said Platt.

Today’s announcement was accompanied with the news that the company would be creating ten new jobs and was offering a number of new Digital Print Apprenticeships.

“As well as keeping pace with global technology, another key challenge in our industry has been recruiting workers with the necessary skills. We are now working with a number of industry bodies and our local college to offer some exciting Apprenticeships and train the future stars of YPP”.

Already this year eight new jobs were created in the company’s growing sewing department, with all flags and fabric display products finished by hand by the skilled team of machinists.


Our 2017 so far…

2017 has arrived and it’s been an incredibly busy start to the year for the team at Your Print Partner – but we’ve still got big plans ahead! Here’s some highlights…

The YPP Hub

We’ve now officially moved into our new HQ in Lincoln. The new site on Pyke Road, off Doddington Road, has over three times more production and warehouse space than we had in our previous building, as well as extra recreational facilities and spaces to meet with clients.

Four new state-of-the-art print machines were also installed this week, making us the UK’s largest fabric printer by capacity.

Trade Shows

We’ve got a full calendar of trade shows booked for the first few months of 2017.

Thanks to our investment in new machinery, we’ve been able to develop a whole new product range of exhibition systems & stretch fabric which we are excited to be able to showcase at a number of different events this year.

PRINT 2017

We’ve kicked off the year with our new campaign PRINT 2017, a colourful campaign to highlight our specialism in digital print and branding.

We are pleased to say we have just released our trade brochure for 2017. With a fresh new design and plenty of insight into YPP, plus new products and exhibition solutions, it is our most exciting collection to date. We’ll be sending out copies soon and publishing online as well.


Have you noticed the appearance of #TeamYPP recently? This is more than just a hashtag for us, it’s a new way to celebrate all that’s happening within the company this year.

Our team is our greatest asset as a business. The workforce at YPP is made up of talented people with a hugely diverse range of skills, from graphic designers to seamstresses, with a great deal of experience in print and event management. It is how we can offer a truly end to end service.

At YPP, we want to be more than a supplier. We want to be a partner.

Our team is always growing too. Following our move to the new HQ, we will soon be joined by 10 new members of staff. We will also be opening up our factory on a number of days this year, inviting clients to come and learn more about the print process and see how our products are made.

Another BIG Investment

Growth shows no sign of slowing at Your Print Partner with the arrival this week of new ‘superwide’ print machinery.

We are delighted to be able to unveil our new 3.2m Mimaki roll-to-roll digital printer, which has now taken pride of place in an extended and remodelled production department at our Millennium House HQ.

No sooner had the covers come off this sophisticated new machine than it was put to task printing 100m long rolls of fabric, soon to become street branding for one of clients’ events taking place next month.

One of its key features is its Uninterrupted Ink Supply System (UISS), enabling unattended continuous printing. Our 24hr print capability is important to us at Your Print Partner, as we promise our clients the very best turnaround times in the market.

“This is another big milestone for YPP” said Managing Director Stuart Maclaren. “The machine is our second 3.2m Mimaki, and our tenth large-format machine in total. It provides us with the opportunity to compete for the largest tenders, offering vibrant, high quality printed display products made here in the UK”.
