YPP Partner Sponsor of the Lincs Business Expo

We are proud to announce that we are the Partner Sponsor of the innaugural Lincolnshire Business Expo, a new event showcasing and connecting businesses across Greater Lincolnshire.

The Expo will bring together established, growing and new businesses from across the county to showcase their products and services, as well as help them to connect with each other.

The free event is taking place on Thursday 21st January at the Epic Centre at the Lincolnshire Showground and features a diverse range of networking sessions, seminars and workshops.

So far 19 guest speakers are confirmed to be attending, including our very own Managing Director Stuart Maclaren.

Stuart will be taking to the podium at a special edition of the Exec Club Dinner, an invite only event taking place at 5pm, discussing entrepreneurship and sharing some of the stories behind Your Print Partner’s rise from ‘one-man-band’ to the UK’s leading large-format digital print firm.

The YPP team will be exhibiting at the Expo, with our print experts on hand to answer any questions you might have and to offer some new ideas on how you can make the most of large-format branding.

For more information about the Expo and to register to attend the various different workshops and seminars, you can visit the official event website here.

Don’t forget, if you are planning to exhibit at the Expo, we specialise in creating Exhibition Displays, Pop-up Stands, and all the other promotional essentials needed to make the most of a trade show. We are offering exhibitors some exclusive special offers on printed products – so contact us at or call 01522 87 87 87 to find out more.

Adding Some Colour to the Christmas Lights

The city of Lincoln yesterday hosted it’s big Christmas lights switch-on, in front of an audience of thousands.

The event, taking place at the Lincoln High Street War Memorial, marks the official start to the city’s Christmas celebrations .

‘Allo Allo’ star, and the wicked fairy in this year’s Lincoln Theatre Royal pantomime Sleeping Beauty, Vicki Michelle joined the Mayor of Lincoln Andrew Kerry and a number of competition winners to push the all-important button.

Your Print Partner provided the event with printed barrier jackets, colourful fabric branding designed to transform the metal crowd control barriers surrounding the stage into something much more festive.

Below you can see the stage barriers before and during the switch-on.

Visit us at the Roundabout Expo

We were delighted to be invited to exhibit at a very unusual boutique trade show… taking place at Tritton Road Roundabout in Lincoln!

On Thursday 30th July, some of the best creative, digital & tech focused businesses from in and around Lincoln will be leaving their offices behind and setting up shop in the middle of a roundabout.

We are proud to be representing the print industry at the Expo, amongst some of the city’s best and brightest creative firms, so if you are in Lincoln on Thursday – keep an eye out for team YPP’s gazebo and feather flags!

Various members of the YPP team will be in attendance, happy to discuss branding ideas and generally talk all things print.

The expo is being organised by LMA Events and is open from 8.30am until 5.30pm, with the roundabout situated adjacent to the University of Lincoln (find on Google Maps).

We look forward to seeing you there!

Making a Splash for St Barnabas Lincolnshire Hospice

Team YPP put themselves through a unique test of speed, stamina and all round ‘splashability’ yesterday, all to raise money for St Barnabas Lincolnshire Hospice.

The charity had organised an ‘It’s a Knockout’ style challenge, with inflatable obstacle courses, silly suits and an ocean of washing-up liquid.

140 competitors from 14 teams representing a wide range of local businesses assembled at Washingborough Playing Fields to run the slippery gauntlet.

Lining up in a fashionable shade of luminous orange, team YPP really did us proud.

With sponsorship money still coming in from each of the team members, we believe we will have raised approximately £600 for St Barnabas.

If you would like to contribute to our fundraising for the charity, you can donate online through our Just Giving page here.

Getting Soggy for St Barnabas…

This Sunday the Your Print Partner team are going to be taking on an unusual challenge for charity…

We are going to be taking part in the 2015 St Barnabas Lincolnshire Hospice It’s a Knockout!

Those who have seen the television series will know all about it, but to those who haven’t – it’s essentially a bizarre school sports day for grown ups, with plenty of inflatable obstacles to dodge, hurdle and generally try not to fall over!

There’s going to be thrills and (mainly) spills as we take on the weird and wonderful It’s a Knockout challenges, but behind it all is a very serious aim. We want to raise money for the St Barnabas Lincolnshire Hospice, which is providing the highest quality palliative and end of life care for patients and their families living with life-limiting illnesses.

Many of us at YPP know people who have benefitted from the wonderful care provided at the Hospice, and we want to try and raise as much as we can for this brilliant charity.

Flying the Flag at the 131st Lincolnshire Show

The YPP team was out and about yesterday under beautiful sunny skies at the 2015 Lincolnshire Show.

The Lincolnshire Show is an annual celebration of the county’s agriculture, bringing together entertainment, animals, shopping, music, food and much more across 200 acres of the Lincolnshire Showground.

The Show is organised by the The Lincolnshire Agricultural Society, who held their very first show back in 1869. That day the event was run with just 13 stewards, and highlights included poultry, pigeons, seeds and roots! Today organisers operate with a team of 200 staff, with the event typically drawing in 60,000 visitors.

The headline attraction this year is The Kangaroo Kid, a quadbike stuntman from Brisbane, Australia, who will be performing breathtaking – and dangerous – stunts to the crowds on both days.

The Lincolnshire Sports Zone also offers families the opportunity to get involved with games at the Show and learn new skills, such as wheelchair basketball and human table football!

Our team visited the show to catch up with our clients who were exhibiting there, and to help make sure they were getting the most from the outdoor printed display products that we had supplied.

“Walking around the Showground yesterday, I was particularly proud of our team’s efforts” said Managing Director Stuart Maclaren. “Our various flags, banners and gazebos looked great in the sunshine and were doing an excellent job of drawing attention to our clients stands.

“Events like this provide an excellent learning opportunity for us too, as we can assess how our products are performing in a busy outdoor commercial environment. We had some terrific feedback from our clients, and look forward to working with them as they start planning next year’s stands!”

Celebrating the 800- Year Magna Carta Milestone

2015 is the 800th year since the sealing of Magna Carta in 1215 and there currently celebrations taking place across the world. Nowhere is embracing this historic occasion quite like our home city Lincoln though!

Only four original copies of Magna Carta remain from when it was sealed by King John in 1215. Copies of the charter were spread to religious houses in England – Hugh of Wells, the then Bishop of Lincoln, was present at the sealing and made sure a copy was brought back to Lincoln Cathedral.

Lincoln is also the only place in the world where you can find an original copy of Magna Carta together with the Charter of the Forest, issued in 1217 to amplify the document and one of only two surviving copies. The two charters are housed in Lincoln Castle, a seat for justice from its beginnings.

A new home and visitor centre for Lincoln’s Magna Carta has been built in Lincoln Castle for the anniversary, but that is just the beginning.

The Great Magna Carta Weekend included the Freedom Festival on the Brayford Waterfront, the Night of Festivals carnival in the city centre, Magna Party – featuring Diversity – at Lincoln Castle, fireworks on Saturday night, and the launch of the Lincoln Barons’ Charter Trail.

We’re very proud to be based in the city of Lincoln, and the YPP team really enjoyed taking part in the celebrations.

We were also commissioned to produce a number of printed items to help decorate the various outdoor spaces hosting different attractions. We produced flags that decorated the Brayford waterfront, which hosted the firework display, and our white and gold bunting lined the streets, including all along Lincoln’s famous Steep Hill.

“To be involved in any capacity in such a historic occasion is fantastic” said YPP Managing Director Stuart Maclaren. “The atmosphere in the city has been absolutely brilliant as people have come from far and wide to come together and join the party, and I’m delighted we were able to help Lincoln look the part.”
