Super-sizing our Product Range

At Your Print Partner we are delighted to be able to announce that work has been completed this week in installing new ‘superwide’ print machinery.

Increasing demand and a widening product range has fuelled growth, and this has prompted the company to invest in a new Mimaki 320 print machine, which is capable of printing on 3.2m wide rolls of fabric.

The new machine will bring annual print capacity up to 250,000m2.

Originally operating as a print management company, Your Print Partner has been digitally printing banners, flags and outdoor branding products since 2012 when we invested in our very first direct-to-textile printer. Fast forward to today, and the company is now operating with nine state-of-the-art print machines, including PVC printers and CAD cutters, and the product range has grown to over 200 different products, with many of those items printed in-house.

“This is a really exciting development for Your Print Printer” said Managing Director Stuart Maclaren. “One of our most popular products are our feather flags, which you might typically see at sporting events or car forecourts. With this new printer, now the largest in our building, we have the potential to print an additional 1,269 flags a week. This opens the door for us to new markets and competing for much larger tenders.”

As well as improving our efficiency, decreasing set up times and reducing fabric wastage, this new printer opens up the potential for new product development.

The team at Your Print Partner has been developing a new range of display products, due for release in the New Year. The products will all be produced using the new printer, utilising the ‘superwide’ print surface to produce seamless large-scale graphics for exhibitions and trade shows.

Images, specifications and prices for the new product range will be revealed on this website soon.

The company has also announced that as part of its growth strategy, five new jobs will be created during the winter period. The new recruits will be joining the Pre-Print, Sales and Customer Service Departments.

Lincolnshire Sports Awards

The 2014 Lincolnshire Sports Awards took place on Thursday 6th November, and at Your Print Partner we were incredibly proud to be an Awards sponsor.

The night was a celebration of the achievements of Lincolnshire’s sporting stars, from the professional athletes who represent the region to the coaches and volunteers who dedicate their time to encouraging sports participation at every level.

Over 350 guests attended the event to see 17 different awards presented to some very inspirational people.

Your Print Partner sponsored the Disabled Sportsperson of the Year Award, which was won by Para Equestrian Rider Roberta Sheffield.

After many years of coming to terms with the progressively debilitating disease of Rheumatoid Arthritis,
Roberta recently became the British Dressage Para National Champion at Grade 3 on her horse Double Agent, and has been selected as a member of the four strong Canadian Team for the World Equestrian Games.

After presenting the award to Roberta, YPP Managing Director Stuart Maclaren said “We felt this category was almost too close to call – three wonderful sportspeople who have each enjoyed a really successful year.

“What Roberta has achieved is incredible. She is clearly determined to follow her dream and participate in the Paralympic Games in Rio in 2016, and we wish her the very best of luck.”

Also nominated was Paratriathlete and Wheelchair Racing star Mark Conway and Kieran Tscherniawsky, who is currently second in the world for his category in discus.

Whilst on stage, Stuart was asked by awards host Ed Chamberlin about the company’s contribution as a sponsor of Lincolnshire Sport’s Elite Athlete Programme.

“We were delighted to be able to contribute towards the funding for LEAP. Without this programme, many of the region’s brightest young athletes would struggle to find the finance and support they need to continue doing the sport they love.”

One of the beneficiaries of the LEAP programme has been Jade Etherington – winner of three silvers in the women’s downhill skiing, combined and slalom, and a bronze medal in the Super-G at the 2014 Sochi Winter Paralympic Games, along with her guide Caroline Powell.

Jade, who recently came to visit the team here at Your Print Partner, won the Sportswoman of the Year Award and overall Sports Personality of the Year Award. Earlier this week Jade announced that she was retiring from her skis to concentrate on her teaching career, and we would like to send her our best wishes for the future.

Stuart Maclaren Wins Lincolnshire Business Award

Your Print Partner Managing Director Stuart Maclaren scooped the award for Young Business Person of the Year last night at the 2014 Lincolnshire Media Business Awards.

All of the YPP team were present at the EPIC Centre at the Lincolnshire Showground to see Stuart receive the award in recognition of the work he has done in leading the company to incredible growth and expansion.

The award was presented to Stuart by Elly Sample, on behalf of category sponsors The University of Lincoln.

Your Print Partner was founded by Stuart three years ago. From just 3 employees and one print machine in 2012, Your Print Partner now has 14 members of staff (rising to 20 in the peak summer season) with nine state-of-the-art digital printers running around the clock.

YPP was also a shortlisted finalist in the Start-up Business of the Year category, alongside Your Business in Mind Ltd and winners Lincoln Commercial Bodies Ltd.

“This is a very proud moment” said Stuart, shortly after visiting the stage. “We have a very talented team here, and this award recognises the hard work we have all put in to keep growing, keep improving and keep making our clients happy”.
