Brighton Marathon 2017

Your Print Partner was delighted to be able to work with the Brighton Marathon for another consecutive year, providing a whole host of printed items that contributed to what event organisers were hailing as their best event to date.

More than 12,000 runners took on the 26.2 mile challenge in the city’s eighth annual marathon, with an estimated 150,000 supporters lining the streets to cheer them on.

Just as all those runners were training for the marathon well in advance, we at YPP were busy drawing up designs and printing a huge range of items for the event back in January.

We produced rows of ‘Giant Flags’ to position along the famous beachfront in Brighton’s signature colours (above) and a number of printed tablecloths, flags and gazebos for supporting brands (below) to help promote their events and services.

We were also proud to provide the event with aero banner, or ‘scrim’, to decorate the course as well as printed kit bags and t-shirts for all the marathon finishers.

Thanks also to our recent investment and expansion into flatbed printing, we were able to provide the event with correx signage and branded barrier boards, all made in-house.

Our new stretch display systems were also used as colourful branded backdrops for the merchandise stalls (below) and official photography.

“At YPP we treasure our relationship with the Brighton Marathon team, and we are very proud to be able to provide such a range of printed items to this fantastic event” said Managing Director Stuart Maclaren, who was in Brighton all weekend to offer his assistance in setting up the course.

Brighton and Hove Albion manager Chris Hughton set the runners off on Sunday morning. The elite runners all put in solid performances in the 20°C heat, with Stuart Hawkes making history by becoming the first British winner of the event with a finishing time of two hours 27 minutes and 36 seconds. He was followed by Ollie Garrod in second and Jon Pepper in third.

In the women’s race, Helen Davies crossed the finish line first with a time of two hours, 42 minutes and 40 seconds. She was followed by Hayley Munn in second place and Helen Buller in third, both finishing in under three hours.

Entries are now open online for the 2018 event. To find out more please visit the official Brighton Marathon website here.

Race for Life 2015

Your Print Partner is proud to be an official supplier to Cancer Research UK’s Race for Life series for another consecutive year.

The company has been responsible for providing the look and feel for Race for Life, for all the 5k, 10k and Pretty Muddy events taking place all over the country during the summer.

Each of these events required different combinations of flags, banners and branding to help create the colourful, fun and supportive atmospheres that the race series has become famous for.

Over the past 20 years, more than seven million women have taken part in Cancer Research UK’s Race for Life, raising over £513 million to fund the charity’s life-saving work.

This year Cancer Research UK is hoping that Race for Life will raise £50 million so that it can keep on fighting until cures for all 200 types of cancer, affecting men, women and children, are found.

Your Print Partner Managing Director Stuart Maclaren said “The whole team here at YPP love being able to produce work for Race for Life, and we had a fantastic time last year taking part in our local event in Lincoln.

“Working for a large national event series provides many logistical challenges, but our combination of state-of-the-art superwide print technology and our dedicated and experienced production team allows us to really excel at these sorts of projects.”

Everyone who wishes to take part in Race for Life or volunteer to help on event day can do so on the official website here.
